“Darkness”

Lost in the sea of life, walking in the light.
Drifting from one place to the next.
Don’t want to give up my soul.
Because of inequality, greed, an extension of absolute hate.

Everywhere I turn, there is another sign of you.
(Caught in my darkness, just caught within my darkness)

Life has become so lame.
Chasing money, chasing greed.
People throw away their purpose.
Just for a taste of you.

I’m tired of all this.
Chasing shadows, chasing death.
People living life without you.
When you’re right in front of them!

Can’t they see that life is so much more?
Hiding behind another, afraid of their own worth!
If we looked at each other as equals, all would fall into place.
How many more will lose their life for you?

Everywhere I turn, there is another sign of you.
(Caught in my darkness, just caught within my darkness)
And every moment we don’t realize this is a waste.

Life has become so lame.
Chasing money, chasing greed.
People throw away their purpose.
Just for a taste of you.

I’m tired of all this.
Chasing shadows, chasing death.
People living life without you.
When you’re right in front of them!

And I know, I once was blind, too.
Aren’t you tired, too?
History repeating, history repeating!
All seems so hopeless!
(Shout) That’s what hate wants you to believe!

Back to the top for a second run-through . . .
