“It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Hell Here.”

It’s beginning to look a lot like hell here . . .
Everywhere I go.
I’ve taken a look around; no one can be found.
Culture and entertainment are gone.

It’s beginning to look a lot like hell here . . .
With COVID on the loose.
There’s no end in sight; for our perpetual plight.
Everyone’s wearing a mask.

It’s beginning to look a lot like hell here . . .
With austerity in full bloom.
We keep track of debts; we live with regrets.
Everyone’s a corporate slave.

It’s beginning to look a lot like hell here . . .
With all the empty windows.
People try to justify war, the same as times before.
Repeating our historical mistakes.

It’s beginning to look a lot like hell here . . .
With most folks now unemployed.
Sad with nothing to do, dreams set aside anew.
As we lose our lives.

If we looked upon each other as equals . . .
We would then eliminate war.
Break the cycle of hate, before it’s sadly too late.
And we would then know peace.

With war, we erase entire cultures . . .
Because we just don’t get along.
I pray we sees the light, before God turns from our plight!
And walks away from us all.
