Peace Screams
| As I lay resting Trouble follows me around As she lay resting Peace screams; no sound She wanted to go dancing Drinking and to have fun She was now expecting I wanted to save some She wanted her friend To move right on in A house built on love Let the end now begin As the moments passed The further she walked away Less did I now see her As she danced nights away She now found old feelings That drove her his way Ya we’ll work things out As I lay many nights alone I didn’t believe her We will work things out She didn’t believe me As I walked on out She went back to another Little sister took me in A paper wanting nothing From a lawyer’s hand As I lay resting Ya nights spent alone God has changed things Peace screams; no sound |
