“Oh, Yeah, Darling”

I was trying to dream her way into my life
Oh, yeah, darlin’, dreaming of only her as my wife

Many years have flown on by
Wondering when she’d stop on by
Giving away my art for free
Encasing her with my heart freely

Once upon a lovely dream, ruling like a true king
I took nothing so true love could eventually take wing

Still I’m waiting in the wings
My hearts stops as she sings
Paid with love, set it free
Framed her for all of eternity

Everyone knows her name, she rightly has earned her fame.
I have silently been waiting, dreaming with my eternal flame.

She knows whence I’ve come.
King and jester all in one.
True love left along my way.
Come hither, whatever that truly may.

She now sings with many stars, confessing under setting suns.
Tears falling from the darkened sky, captured within her eyes.

Although there’s love in her life,
My absence has caused her strife.
I was secretly sacrificing my life.
A bad romance, without a wife.

She has fortune, fame. Without love, it’s just a game.
I wish her success, without my love, I sadly confess.

All I have ever wanted in life,
Was to hold her as my wife.
I would give my precious art,
In order to win her heart.

I was trying to dream her way into my life
Oh, yeah, darlin’, dreaming of only her as my wife.
