“We Can Dream of World Peace for Christmas.”

We can dream of world peace for Christmas
But to do so, we must look the other way
For two wrongs cannot make things right
Forgiveness must be practiced all the time.

We can dream of world peace for Christmas
Even though we cannot seem to agree
For so long as we are equals, that’s right
There would not longer be any reason to fight

We can have world peace for Christmas
So long as we place value in our lives
eliminate our differences, morning, noon and night
And we could have world peace for life

We can have world peace for Christmas
So long as we recognize everyone’s point of view
Common rules, common laws and justice would reign
If only we could begin, peace would reign
